Girls basketball: Propst scores 19 points, lifts Red Dragons to win
CHARLESTON, W.Va. -- Breanna Propst scored 19 points to lead St. Albans to a 52-45 win at Hurricane in girls high school basketball action Wednesday night.
The Red Dragons (11-10) held a 37-20 at the half before holding off the Redskins down the stretch.
Torri Wilson added 16 points for St. Albans.
For Hurricane (5-16), Abby Watson poured in a game-high 28 points.
Buffalo 80, Paden City 43 - The Bison erupted for 32 third-quarter points to pull away for the easy Hometown Invitational Tournament at St. Marys.
Paige Roush scored 22 points and dished 11 assists to lead Buffalo (17-4), while Chelsey Parkins added 20 points and 12 rebounds.
Tiffani Bailey contributed 16 points and 10 rebounds for the Bison.
For Paden City (9-13), Taylor Coster led the way with 10.
Sissonville 52, Herbert Hoover 46 - Madison Jones scored a game-high 11 points to lead the Indians (15-6) on the road.
For Herbert Hoover (11-10), Bailey Aab had 17 points and pulled down 17 rebounds, while Bethany Romine added 11 points and Caroline Thornburg chipped in 10.
