CHARLESTON, W.Va. -- The Glenville State women's basketball team, No. 16 in the USA Today NCAA Division II Top 25, scored the first seven points and never looked back in handing the University of Charleston an 80-66 West Virginia Conference loss on Monday night at Eddie King Gym.
It was the 18th consecutive victory for the Pioneers (24-2, 18-1 WVC), who haven't lost in the 2013 calendar year.
Kenyona Simmons led the way for Glenville with 25 points while Ginny Mills finished with 23. The Golden Eagles (13-11, 10-10) were led by Nichole Perry and Tianni Kelly with 13 points apiece.UC returns to action at 5:30 p.m. Thursday at Wheeling Jesuit University.
