By From staff reports

CHARLESTON, W.Va. -- The Marshall men's basketball team snapped its road winless streak Wednesday night and swept Central Florida in their final season as Conference USA opponents with an 82-70 win over the Knights in Orlando.

Elijah Pittman led the Herd (12-15, 5-7) with 20 points while DeAndre Kane scored 19 with seven assists and Dennis Tinnon recorded his 20th career double-double, coming off the bench for 14 points and 15 rebounds.

"Offensively we moved the ball so well and obviously we made some shots early," MU Coach Tom Herrion said. "We got anything we wanted, really. Our execution was tremendous."

Marshall, which is now 1-9 in true road games this season, led by as many as 22 in the game, shot a season-best 54.2 percent from the floor and outrebounded the Knights 42-32.

Isaiah Sykes led UCF (17-9, 7-5) with 23 points, 11 rebounds and five assists, while Calvin Newell added 16 points. Marshall next hosts UAB at 7 p.m. Saturday.
