Power returns home after 4-game win streak snapped
GREENVILLE, S.C. -- The Greenville Drive used a five-run eighth inning to beat the West Virginia Power 5-4 on Wednesday night, snapping the Power's four-game winning streak.
The Power (6-8) opened the scoring in the fifth, when Dilson Herrera doubled to bring home Max Moroff. West Virginia added three runs in the sixth with RBI singles by Raul Fortunato and Ashley Ponce and a wild pitch that scored Eric Wood.
A two-run single by David Chester started the scoring for Greenville in the bottom of the eighth. David Jagoditsh (0-2) picked up the loss for the Power, while Kyle Kraus (1-0) earned the win for Greenville.
The Power returns to Charleston tonight to begin a four-game homestand with the Hagerstown Suns. Game time is 7:05 p.m.
