On the first play from the Poca 13-yard line, Scott quarterback Bo Jeffrey threw a touchdown pass to Cody Harvey with 9:12 left to give the Skyhawks a 16-0 lead.
On the following Dot possession, quarterback Justin Stewart was sacked, fumbled, and Crone returned it 9 yards for a Scott touchdown. After a Poca punt, Loftus raced 68 yards on the first play from scrimmage for another Skyhawks TD and a 31-0 lead.
Later, Stewart was picked off and Crone raced 51 yards for a TD on Scott's next play and the Skyhawks led 39-0 at the break. In the first half, Poca was outgained 242-51 and turned the ball over four times.
"The first quarter it's 3-0, and they score 36 points in the second quarter," Poca coach Bob Lemley said. "They handed it to us out there in the second quarter. Basically that was the game. It was tough."
"We have seen our defense grow each week even in these tough losses," Griffith said. "We believe in them more and more and now we see them making more plays. I'm excited about it."
Poca was much more competitive in the second half, only being outscored 20-14, but the damage had already been done. The Dots got on the scoreboard first on a 16-yard touchdown pass from Stewart to Andrew Gibson.
Crone then rumbled in from 40 yards out and Jeffrey, a junior quarterback filling in for an injured Cody Brown, scored on a 3-yard run for Scott to make it 52-6 on the first play of the fourth quarter.
Later in the fourth, Levi Clendenin scored on a 2-yard run and was successful on the 2-point conversion run for Poca. Garrett Roberts ended the night's scoring with a 20-yard TD run for Scott.
Backup quarterback Hayden Webb provided a spark for the Dots in the second half, rushing for 60 yards on eight attempts. Kenny Stewart and Justin Stewart also combined for 76 yards on 17 carries for Poca.
