Marshall football: Herd snags verbal pledge from Va. lineman
CHARLESTON, W.Va. -- The Marshall football team received another verbal commitment Wednesday, as Jordan Dowrey, a Winchester, Va., offensive lineman, announced his intentions on his Twitter feed.
Dowrey, a 6-foot-1, 270-pound prospect from John Handley High School, also had offers from Hampton, Connecticut, Richmond and William and Mary. He's the Thundering Herd's 12th verbal commitment and the first this year from Virginia. Verbal commitments are non-binding. Players can sign national letters of intent beginning Wednesday, Feb. 5.
