Parkersburg jumped to a big halftime lead and cruised to a 71-52 win over visiting St. Albans in boys high school basketball play Thursday.
St. Albans trailed by just two points after one quarter, but a 25-9 second quarter scoring advantage for Parkersburg put the game out of reach.
J'Darien Wade paced the Big Reds (2-4) with 31 points, while Levi Hays and Jordan Colebank contributed 10 points apiece.
For St. Albans (1-5), Tanner Aliff led the way with 11 points, followed by Jeffrey Seams and Quamise Carter with 10 apiece.
Huntington 66, Ripley 48 -JR Howard's 15 points helped lead the Highlanders (3-0) to the road win.
For Ripley (0-5), Kade Harrison's 15 points led the way, while Luke Layhew tallied 10 points.
