CHALRESTON, W.Va. -- Elijah Cuffee scored a game-high 23 points to lead fifth-ranked Poca (6-1) to an 87-38 win over Wayne in high school boys basketball action Tuesday.
The Dots limited the Pioneers (6-3) to single digit points in each of the final three quarters.
Noah Frampton added 20 points for Poca, while Matt Chandler contributed 12.
For Wayne, Grant Ferguson led the way with 10 points.
In girls basketball action:
Hurricane 62, Ripley 54 - Abby Watson poured in 35 points to the Redskins (5-3) on the road.
Watson connected for a pair of three pointers and went 17-of-22 from the free throw line.
Kaylee Wooten added 12 points for the Redskins (5-3).
For Ripley (3-7), Sarah Williams netted 24 points, followed by Emily Oldham with 11.
Buffalo 61, Midland Trail 36 - The Bison jumped to a 28-15 halftime lead and cruised to the road win.
Chelsey Parkins led Buffalo (6-3) with 27 points, while Paige Roush added 13.
For Midland Trail (5-4), Madison Syner led the way with 16.
