Marshall football: NCAA approves Rouse for 6th year of eligibility
HUNTINGTON, W.Va. -- Marshall defensive lineman James Rouse's return to the Thundering Herd football team was made official Tuesday after the NCAA approved his extension of eligibility waiver. Marshall's compliance department announced the news on its Twitter feed.
Rouse told teammates at Marshall's football banquet that he decided to come back for a final year. Rouse missed most of the previous two seasons due to back and Achilles injuries. Finally healthy in 2013, he was voted team MVP and named first-team all-Conference USA after finishing tied for fourth in C-USA with 12 tackles for a loss.
