CHARLESTON, W.Va. -- Aaron Dobson, who starred in football at South Charleston High School and Marshall University, will watch the first round of the NFL Draft tonight at Recovery Sports Grill in downtown Charleston.
Recovery is hosting a draft party that will begin at 6 p.m. Dobson is scheduled to arrive at 7:30 p.m., 30 minutes before the Kansas City Chiefs are put on the clock for the No. 1 selection.
Dobson, a 6-foot-3, 200-pound wide receiver, is considered a potential early-round selection in the draft, with most mock drafts labeling him a second- or third-round pick.
Tonight's draft covers just the first round, which could include the selections of former WVU stars Tavon Austin and Geno Smith. The second and third round is Friday and final four rounds Saturday.
Dobson caught 165 passes for 2,398 yards and 24 touchdowns in four seasons at Marshall.
Former NFL players Carl Lee and Chris Massey are also expected to make appearances at Recovery's draft party. Other local former NFL players could also attend.
