"I give those guys credit, the coaches at their respective schools," Herrion said. "We were thrilled with the opportunity and will welcome them to the Henderson Center with open arms."

MARSHALL HAD to clear up an unexpected transcript issue with forward Cheikh Sane, but Herrion said that it should be taken care of by the time the season starts.
"The Sene thing was kind of a weird thing that popped up before we left (for Canada)," Herrion said. "(We should have) no problem with him getting cleared before we start our games. We've just got to get some paperwork done and back from Senegal."
Junior college guard Chris Thomas is fully enrolled at Marshall and officially on the Herd roster. Herrion said the 6-foot-5, 190-pound sophomore is excited to join the team and the transition has been seamless so far. But it's Thomas that will have to work his way into the system.
"Chris has to adjust to us," Herrion said. "We're not adjusting to Chris. We've got a lot of things in place. He's obviously a talented young man and he'll have to shake some rust off."
Herrion also said guard Justin Edmonds, who tore his anterior cruciate ligament last season in junior college, was getting closer to being fully cleared to practice by the end of September or beginning of October.
