CHARLESTON, W.Va. -- Ten different Capital players scored goals, including three from Ally Reeves, as the Cougars rolled to a 15-0 win over Black Eagles at home in girls high school soccer action on Tuesday.
Katie Crowder and Rebecca Demarco had two goals for Capital (7-6), while Michelle Newhouse, Tracy Gibson, Lexi Brown, Morgan King, Emily Henry, Hannah Moore and Hannah Jack all scored.
Poca 5, Cross Lanes 2 - Marissa Perkins tallied a hat trick, leading the Dots to the road victory.
Harley Hutchins and Mariah Cook also scored for Poca (6-5-1), while Kendall Sayre made eight saves.
Herbert Hoover 1, Nicholas County 1 - Melody Strickland scored for the Huskies and Serena Mullens tallied the goal for Nicholas County as both teams settled for the tie.
Bailey Aab made eight saves for Hoover (8-4-1) and Alison Given had two saves for Nicholas County.
Sissonville 9, Scott 0 - Lydia Murray had three goals as the Indians rolled on the road.
Abbey Jordan and Madison Jones scored two goals for Sissonville (13-2), while Courtney Strobel, Mary Schmeck and Karli Pinkerton added goals.
Parkersburg 4, Winfield 3 - In a shootout, the Big Reds were able to prevail with great balance on the road with four different goal-scorers.
Taylor Hunkele, Kailey Cox, Connie Chefren and Halie Hill all scored for Parkersburg.
For Winfield, Emily Cole had a pair of goals while Jayne Lawman added a goal and an assist.
