Pauley, who finished with two assists, scored Winfield's third goal with just over eight minutes gone, before Cole finished out the scoring with 25:47 to play.
Freshman Katherine Bryant also had an assist for the Generals.
I knew coming in it would be tough and when they got one (goal), we go tactically blind," Generals Coach Marshall Hoff said. "We've had it to happen before, so we came over at the half and talked about it. In the second half we were able to settle in and find ourselves.
"We went out in the second half and knew exactly what we needed to do to settle the game and get back to the things we need to do."
Winfield, the runner-up in the last season's Class AAA state championship match, will finish out its regular season Saturday at Parkersburg South before postseason play begins.
Hoff likes how his team is performing since its last loss, a 4-3 decision at Parkersburg on Sept. 25.
"After our Parkersburg trip where we took on the chin, we sat down and came back to the realization of what we were doing," Hoff said. "A lot of the teams have talent in this state, but we knew when we left that stadium in Beckley last year what we wanted to do and we knew it wouldn't be an easy journey.
"We lost our focus at Parkersburg, but we appreciate each other and understand what we need to do. Going into the postseason, the girls are playing real well and we're still working hard."
