CHARLESTON, W.Va. -- Cabell Midland scored in every inning and pounded out 13 hits en route to an 11-6 win over South Charleston in high school baseball action Monday.
Seth Kinker led the Knights with four hits, including a double and two RBI, while Derek Adkins had two hits, one of which was a solo homer.
Antonio Brown had two hits for the Black Eagles, including a double and RBI, followed by Jon Cline with two hits and an RBI. Jacob Marler had three RBI for SC.
Scott 6, Chapmanville 5 - Forrest Spurlock hit a fourth-inning grand slam - his fourth home run of the season - and the Skyhawks (6-5) held off the Tigers in Madison.
Cody Blevins had three hits for Scott.
Scotty Thompson had a two-run single for the Tigers in the sixth.
Spring Valley 2, George Washington 1 - The Timberwolves (4-4) scored twice in the first and held on for the home win.
Elijah Wellman had three hits, including a double and triple to lead Spring Valley.
For GW (8-4), Garrett Vogelbach and Connor Moffatt had two hits apiece.
