CHARLESTON, W.Va. -- Senior right-hander Jerod Jobst struck out 10 and scattered five hits over seven innings to help lead South Charleston to a 9-3 win at Scott in high school baseball action Monday.
Jonathan Cline had two hits, including a homer for the Black Eagles (10-6), while Antonio Brown added two hits, with a homer and three RBI. Senior Austin Santrock finished with two doubles and three RBI, followed by Jobst and Jonathan Pauley with an RBI apiece.
For the Skyhawks (10-7), Forrest Spurlock smacked a pair of homers and knocked in three runs, while Devin Bayer had a pair of singles.
Hurricane 24, Lincoln County 0 - The Redskins (14-3) plated 18 runs in the third inning en route to the five-inning home win over the Panthers (8-4).
Sophomore right-hander Justin Crouch (1-0) allowed just three hits in picking up the win.
Zach Pate knocked in four runs for Hurricane, while Tate Brock plated three runs. Tyson Edwards, Austin Hensley and J.T. Rogoszewski chipped in with a double and two RBI apiece.
Winfield 11, Huntington 10 - The Generals held an 8-0 lead after three innings and held on for the home win.
Brandon Wright paced Winfield (8-10) with three hits, while Josh Bumgarner and Derek Whiteside had three RBI apiece.
For the Highlanders, Joey Mundy and Stephen Holland each knocked three runs.
