George Washington (6-1) at Parkersburg (2-5) - See story, page 1B.
South Charleston (6-2) at Riverside (1-7) - SC has remained in the lower third of the Daily Mail Class AAA Poll all season, and can all but sew up a playoff spot after a two-year absence with a win. Sophomore quarterback Kentre Grier has thrown for 1,572 yards, 20 touchdowns and just five interceptions this season.
St. Albans (1-6) at Huntington (7-0) - The top-ranked Highlanders have given up just 52 points in seven games. SA will face a challenge in keeping up with Huntington's speed on both sides of the ball. Paden Christian leads the Huntington running attack with 650 yards and nine TDs. Nick Tubbs has 566 yards and seven scores.
Sissonville (6-1) at Sherman (2-6) - See story, this page.
Roane County (5-2) at Herbert Hoover (2-5) - The Raiders have quietly put themselves in position to keep their streak of playoff appearances going. Roane hasn't missed the Class AA playoffs since 2008. This year, the Raiders are led by running back Luke Scott (1,010 yards, 11 TDs) and quarterback Cody May (755 yards passing, 437 rushing), who stepped in behind center after 2012 All-State pick Hunter Bradley transferred to Wahama.
Wayne (7-0) at Poca (1-6) - Aside from the fact that Wayne is seeking its third consecutive state championship, a feat last accomplished in Class AA by the Dots from 2001-03, there is little comparison between the teams. The Pioneers are giving up just 10.6 points per game while scoring an average of 50.5. Poca, meanwhile, has scored an average of 19.8 per game and given up 39.7.
Buffalo (0-7) at Fayetteville (2-5) - The Bison make another road trip, though they have had a week off to rest and heal. The Pirates, who also were idle last week, have lost five straight beginning with an eight-point loss to Meadow Bridge on Sept. 27.
Other games include Ripley (1-6) at Lincoln County (0-7), Cabell Midland (6-2) at Spring Valley (6-2), Clay County (2-5) at Ravenswood (4-3), Valley (7-0) at Richwood (2-5), Van (3-4) at Clay-Battelle (6-0), Chapmanville (4-4) at Tolsia (3-4) and Logan (5-2) at Mingo Central (5-2).
