MORGANTOWN, W.Va. -- West Virginia University cross country coach Sean Cleary was named Thursday at the 2008 Mid-Atlantic Region Coach of the Year for the second consecutive year by the U.S. Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association.

This is the third time Cleary has been honored. He guided the No. 5 Mountaineers to an automatic bid to the nationals for the fifth time. The NCAA Championships will be held Monday in Terre Haute, Ind.
