Huggins family raising money to research cancer
The Charleston Department Store is teaming up with the family of West Virginia University basketball coach Bob Huggins to raise money to fight cancer.
From 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, Debbie Huggins Bradford, the coach's sister, will be at the store at 1661 West Washington St. to sell HuggieBear products such as shirts, baskets, toys, posters and coffee mugs. A portion of proceeds will go to the Norma Mae Huggins Cancer Research Endowment Fund at the Mary Babb Randolph Cancer Center at WVU.
"We believe our mom was one in a million, so let's raise a million dollars to help fight cancer," Bradford said. Check out the site www.huggiebearproducts.com for more information about products.
