WHITE SULPHUR SPRINGS, W.Va. -- Bubba Watson liked his first trip to the Greenbrier Classic so much, he's joining The Greenbrier resort's professional golf staff.
The 2012 Masters champion also will represent The Greenbrier in PGA Tour events and is building a house at the White Sulphur Springs resort.
During a news conference with Greenbrier owner Jim Justice on Tuesday, Watson spoke about the resort's family atmosphere, its history, food and amenities.
"The Greenbrier to us is all about family," Watson said. "How would you not want to be a part of this? They make you feel at home here. Then when you add the golf course, the Old White, that's a special place."
Watson will join Greenbrier pro emeritus Tom Watson, Webb Simpson and Kenny Perry in displaying The Greenbrier logo on their golf bags during tournaments.
The resort also plans to introduce special "Bubba"-themed tee boxes on the Old White TPC Course. Guests who shoot 90 or better from the tees will be entered into a drawing for the opportunity to play with Watson.
