ATHENS, W.Va. - Point guard Terrell Lipkins hit 10 of his 14 shot attempts, scoring 23 points to lead Charleston to a hard-fought 66-50 West Virginia Conference victory over Concord (6-3, 2-3 WVC).
The Golden Eagles (8-2, 4-2) showed the effects of a 14-day layoff, shooting just 57.9 percent (11-19) from the free throw line and being outrebounded 39-30.
Aleks Kesic had 13 points for UC. Nick Ruffin had 14 points for Concord, while Damien Tunstalle and Thomas Brown had 10 apiece.
The UC men are back in action at 4 p.m. Saturday when they visit W.Va. Wesleyan.
