Gaynelle (Shillings) Williams, 77, of Carbon, died April 3, 2014, at Hubbard Hospice House, Charleston. She was born Sept. 6, 1936.
She was a homemaker and a member of Carbon Freewill Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by husband, Carl E. Williams on Feb. 21, 2010 and parents, Jim and Bee Shillings,
Surviving are her son, Scott (Tonya) Williams of Shrewsbury; daughter, Carla Curry and husband, Jimmy of Marmet; four grandchildren who were her pride and joy, Jordan and Josh Williams and Ally and J.C. Curry; sister by heart, Artie (Harold) Hoover of Big Chimney; and best friend, Lawrence Dickerson of Carbon.
Funeral service will be 1 p.m Monday, April 7 at Leonard Johnson Funeral Home, Marmet with the Rev. Rick Holstein officiating. Burial will follow in Kanawha Valley Memorial Gardens, Glasgow. Friends may call from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday April 6 at the funeral home.
