Letter: Capito needs to help free reservist
I express concern about the United States treatment, or lack thereof, of Marine Reservist Andrew Tahmooressi. The combat veteran is stuck in a Mexican prison because he inadvertantly took a wrong turn and drove into Mexico carring three U.S.-registered firearms -- all of which are legal in the U.S.
Veterans across the country are angry at the lack of action to free Tahmooressi while the Obama administration welcomes a deserter back to the United States in exchange for five terrorists.
Meanwhile, our own U.S. Rep. Shelley Moore Capito has not voiced her outrage with our GI in a Mexican prison. She should get involved and push the Obama administration to take action.
As a registered Republican and a Vietnam combat veteran, I don’t want to receive any more fundraising letters from Ms. Capito unless she steps forward and voices her outrage to the president.
