West Virginia's Promise Ameri-Corps VISTAS and community volunteers will have a "Sweet Appreciation Baking Party" for local first responders in remembrance of 9/11 and National Day of Service.
The baking party will be held from 2 to 5 p.m. Monday, Sept. 10, at the Rock Lake Community Life Center, 801 Lincoln Drive, South Charleston. Baked goods will be given to local police and fire departments on Tuesday in appreciation of their service to the community.
Volunteers are needed to help bake cookies. Pre-baked cookies are welcome.
