Kanawha County Public Library will offer a program titled "Prepare for the Next Flood Disaster" at area libraries.Richard Carte, floodplain management specialist with the West Virginia Division of Homeland Security and Emergency Management, will discuss how to avoid the worst destruction of major flooding and other matters relating to flood disasters. Participating libraries and dates offered are: Main Library: 2 p.m. Feb. 2; Elk Valley Branch Library: 6 p.m. Feb. 4; Dunbar Branch Library: 6 p.m. Feb. 7; St. Albans Branch Library: 2 p.m. Feb. 9; Clendenin Branch Library: 6 p.m. Feb. 12; and Sissonville Branch Library: 6 p.m. Feb. 28.
