Hospice of Huntington to help people deal with grieving process

Hospice of Huntington Inc. will have a variety of meetings and groups dealing with the grieving process at its downtown office at 1101 6th Ave., Huntington. All sessions are free, professionally facilitated and open to the public.

Couples Who Grieve will be at 6 p.m. Tuesday. The group explores the challenges many couples face when grieving a loss together.

The Grief Journey: A Six-Week Class will be at 5:30 p.m. Mondays from Feb. 18 through March 25. The group explores aspects of grief and ways of coping with changes after a loved one dies.

Coping with the Loss of a Pet will be at 2 p.m.  Feb. 18. The group addresses the grief reactions and responses one may experience as well as ways to cope when dealing with the loss of a pet.

Transitions Support Group will be at 10:30 a.m. Feb. 20. The group combines discussions on grief and socialization through recreational activities. For additional information or to register, call 304-529-4217.
