Mystery flowers brighten days at Elkins hospital
ELKINS, W.Va. -- Someone has been brightening the days of patients and staff at Davis Memorial Hospital in Elkins.
An anonymous donor sent flower arrangements to patients and staff during the last two weeks. Each arrangement had a card with a message that said, "Compassion lives in all of us."
Nurse Misti Shine tells The Inter-Mountain (http://bit.ly/16eQB83 ) that the patients were excited to receive flowers. She says some don't have anyone to care for them and they don't have visitors or receive flowers.
Mary's Greenhouse in Elkins made about 100 arrangements and delivered them on a staggered schedule. Jennifer Gouer Pritt with the greenhouse says the donor had always wanted to send flowers to patients and staff and finally was able to do so.
