Dunkin' Donuts announced last week it has entered into an agreement with Little General Store, Inc. to open three new Dunkin' Donuts locations in West Virginia.
The expansion is part of Dunkin' Donuts' strategy to double its number of U.S. restaurant locations over the next 20 years.
Little General will operate the locations, the first of which is expected to open in 2014. The company is currently looking at locations for the new stores, which should all be open by 2018.
"We are excited to expand Dunkin' Donuts' presence throughout West Virginia and play an important role in the daily lives of people who live, work and visit here," Little General president Greg Darby said. "We have a passion and loyalty for the brand and look forward to the opening of our Dunkin' Donuts restaurants in the years to come."
In addition to the new Little General-operated locations, Dunkin' Donuts officials said they still have potential franchise opportunities available in the Charleston and Huntington areas. The company said it offers flexible franchise options, including free-standing restaurants, end caps, in-line sites, gas and convenience stores, travel plazas, and universities.
