Vietnam War prepped dental surgeon's career
Dr. John Haley soon will remove a wall full of plaques listing his many credentials, including one from the American College of Dentists, which named him a fellow in 1999. The honor, which goes to only 3 percent of the dentists in the country, is by invitation and is awarded based on a dentist's contributions to the profession.
Robin Cooper, left, has been helping her stepdad, Dr. John Haley, clean out his office at the St. Francis medical building, where he has operated his oral surgery practice since 1989. Cooper has worked as his office manager and surgical assistant. Although the two have butted heads because of their strong personalities, Cooper said she's at a loss for where she can work next that will be as fulfilling.
