The West Virginia State Museum continues its Sesquicentennial Saturday programs on from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday.
The theme for this Saturday's program is "The History of West Virginia's State Symbols". The commemorative token will feature the Golden Delicious apple and will be given to museum visitors on that day.
The program takes place in the Museum Education Center and includes hands-on activities and a display of artifacts from the state collection. The documentary "The Moving Monument" will be shown in the media room throughout the day.
The Sesquicentennial Saturday program at the Culture Center on the State Capitol Complex is designed for all ages. It is free and open to the public.For more information, contact Nancy Herholdt, museum education manager, at 304-558-0220.
