West Virginia's Promise-The Alliance for Youth is accepting nominations for the ninth annual Red Wagon Award.
The award is given to an outstanding organization devoted to improving the lives of young people by providing the Five Promises: caring adults, safe places, a healthy start, an effective education and opportunities to help others.

Children who receive at least four of the Five Promises are more likely to succeed academically, socially and civically. They are more likely to avoid violence, contribute to their communities and achieve high grades in school.
The 2013 West Virginia's Promise Red Wagon Award winner will be presented during the Faces of Leadership Conference on August 7 at the Charleston Civic Center.
