A special bird walk will be held at Kanawha State Forest beginning at 10 a.m. Saturday.
The featured bird is the Louisiana Waterthrush. The interpretative activity begins at the campground parking lot and proceeds to Shelter No. 4. It is free and open to the public. Activity leaders are Master Naturalists Sara Miller and Lynn Hartman.Kanawha State Forest plans to feature a bird each month of the year to introduce people to more than 300 species of birds that can be seen or heard across West Virginia.
