The Pie Contest will again be featured at the Jackson's Mill Jubilee.
Contestants should bring their pies between 2 and 3 p.m. Saturday to the Southeast Learning Center. Judging begins at 3 p.m. Cash prizes will be awarded at the following ceremony. According to contest rules, the pies must have a West Virginia product as the main ingredient, fillings must be made from fresh, home-preserved or homefrozen ingredients, crusts must be homemade, and custard pies or any pie requiring refrigeration will not be accepted.
There will be three divisions: adult (18 and older) single crust pie; adult double crust pie; and youth, single or double crust pie.
Individuals may submit up to two pies per category. One copy of the recipe must be submitted with each pie.
