CHARLESTON, W.Va. - A Nicholas County pair were arrested after allegedly getting onto a school bus while under the influence.
Bryan L. Johnson, 21, and Ayla J. Hodges, 19, of Tioga were arrested about 7:30 a.m. Thursday at Richwood Middle School by a Nicholas sheriff's deputy working as a prevention resource officer, deputies said in a press release.
The pair boarded a Nicholas County school bus in the Tioga Road area of Craigsville and were taken to Richwood Middle School. They appeared to be intoxicated, according to the press release.
It was the first day of school for Nicholas County.
Johnson and Hodges were charged with disturbance of a school, trespassing and public intoxication. Both remained at Central Regional Jail.
Deputies still are investigating. Nicholas County Schools also is looking into the matter.
