Deputies are investigating after a Nicholas County convenience store was robbed at gunpoint.
Nicholas sheriff's deputies were dispatched about 12:30 a.m. Tuesday to a Go-Mart convenience store on Canvas-Nettie Road in Nettie where a robbery was reported.
A store clerk told deputies a man wearing a blue and white flannel jacket and hoodie confronted him with a handgun and demanded cash, according to a statement issued by the sheriff's office.
The clerk gave the man some cash and he fled on foot, heading toward W.Va. 20.
The suspect was described as a white man standing about 5-foot-6 and weighing between 150 and 165 pounds. He was wearing sunglasses, a bandana and dark pants, in addition to the jacket and hoodie.
