A Putnam County mobile home was destroyed in an early morning house fire.
Putnam dispatchers got a call just after 8:45 a.m. Sunday about a fire on Limeberger Creek Road in Poca.
The home was fully engulfed when firefighters from Poca, Bancroft and Nitro arrived.
Two people who were in the home at the time of the fire were able to escape, one of them with a pet raccoon. Dispatchers said both people refused help from paramedics.
