Two eastern Kanawha County residents were arrested Monday night in connection to an assault and robbery that occurred in Campbells Creek over the weekend.
Capt. Sean Crosier said Terry Lee Shamblin Jr., 35, of Eskdale and Tonia Kay Blount, 26, of Campbells Creek were taken into custody by the Kanawha Bureau of Investigation.
The pair are accused of beating and robbing James Chapman in his Campbells Creek home Sunday evening. Crosier said Blount was already inside the house when Shamblin stormed in and began assaulting Chapman.
Shamblin then allegedly restrained Chapman while Blount stole his wallet from his pants pocket, then fled the home.
Chapman received minor injuries but refused medical treatment.
Investigators found Blount in Campbells Creek Monday night as she was attempting to flee to Ohio. Shamblin was found walking along Campbells Creek Road and was arrested without incident.
The pair were taken to the South Central Regional Jail.
