City police looking for 2 armed robbers

Police are searching for two men who robbed a security guard at gunpoint early Monday and ran, authorities said today.

A Department of Human Resources security guard was robbed in a parking garage at 500 Capitol St. in Charleston at 3:15 a.m., said Sgt. Bobby Eggleton, assistant chief of detectives. The suspects were two black males and one had a gun, Eggleton said.

The robbers took $200 in cash and ran north.

Charleston Police and Capitol Police are working together to find the suspects. One was dressed all in black. The other wore a gray-and-black hoodie.
