NITRO, W.Va. -- A crash off the westbound entrance/exit ramps of Interstate 64 killed a 69-year-old Poca woman.
The wreck happened just before 8 p.m. Friday on W.Va. 25 in Nitro. The road was shut down for several hours.
A car driven by Tommy Jones Jr. of St. Albans struck the side of a car driven by Andrew Lambert of Poca, according to the Nitro Police Department.
Firefighters had to cut Lambert's vehicle apart to get everyone out, according to police.
Lambert and another passenger were taken to Charleston Area Medical Center's General division, where they were listed in stable condition.
One of the other passengers, Cuba Lambert, was taken to Thomas Memorial Hospital and later died.
Jones was taken to CAMC General with non-life threatening injuries.
The crash remains under investigation. Police said alcohol was not a factor, nor was the weather.
Charges remain possible, according to the police department.
