Woman injured in home invasion
A Pinch woman is in very serious condition at a local hospital after a violent home invasion.
Paramedics were dispatched at about 2:39 p.m. Thursday to a home on Church Road in the Miller Road area after a family member found the 74-year-old woman unresponsive inside, Detective Sean Snuffer said.
Snuffer said paramedics found the home in disarray and felt that the woman's injuries were suspicious. The woman, whose name has not been released, was taken to Charleston Area Medical Center's General Hospital.
Kanawha deputies responded and began investigating. Cpl. Brian Humphreys said detectives were investigating it as a home invasion.
Witnesses were being interviewed Thursday evening.
