Logan doctor faces drug distribution charge
A Logan area doctor is facing a drug charge after authorities raided his West Logan practice Sunday.
State Police, Logan sheriff's deputies and FBI agents executed a federal search warrant on Fernando Gonzalez-Ramos' West Logan office Sunday morning, a secretary at the State Police detachment in Logan.
Gonzalez-Ramos, 47, was seeing patients in the makeshift doctor's office on W.Va. 10 Sunday when officers came with the warrant. The secretary said officers searched the building before taking the doctor into custody.
He was charged with distribution of a controlled substance. He is being held at South Central Regional Jail without bond.
