Trial has been postponed for a Scott Depot man who is charged with robbing an off-duty police officer in a Southridge Center restaurant.
Travis Eugene Lattea, 31, allegedly came up behind South Charleston patrolman Matt Holly at Quaker Steak and Lube on March 23, 2010. Authorities said he hit him on the head, knocking him unconscious, and took his badge, gun and wallet.
He is charged with first-degree robbery.
He was scheduled to go on trial this week in Kanawha Circuit Court. Judge Paul Zakaib agreed to a request from attorneys to re-set the trial for July 8. His trial has been postponed several times.
