Two arrested after Nitro home invasion; third suspect sought

By From staff reports

Two arrests have been made while a third suspect is on the run following a break-in over the weekend, said Major David Richardson, of the Nitro Police Department.

A home was broken into in the Brookhaven subdivision on Friday evening.

When the homeowner returned and surprised the burglars, they fled the scene leaving the house in disarray and a laptop in the yard, Richardson said.

Two people have been arrested in connection with the incident. Malesha Grass, 35, and Joseph Lobuts, 29, are charged with burglary and conspiracy. They are being kept in South Central Regional Jail with bond set at $25,000 each.

Police are searching for a third suspect whose name is not being released at this time, Richardson said. Anyone with information is asked to call Nitro Police Department at 304-755-0777.
