Dunbar woman killed after crashing into church

By From staff reports

One woman is dead after she lost control of her vehicle and struck the Meadowbrook Freewill Baptist church just after 3 a.m. Thursday, according to an email from Capt. Sean Crosier of the Kanawha County Sheriff's Office.

Amy Toler, 33, of Roxalana Road in Dunbar, was traveling north on Greenbrier Street when her Pontiac minivan ran off the right side of the pavement in a left-hand curve. She steered left, but police believe the vehicle was out of control when it hit the church. Toler was not wearing a seatbelt and drugs/alcohol are not suspected factors in the accident. Toler was pronounced dead at the scene by Kanawha County Emergency Ambulance Authority Paramedics. Her body will be sent to the Office of the Medical Examiner.
