CHARLESTON, W.a. -- The name of the person arrested in connection with a stabbing in South Charleston has been released.
Kevin Lamont Lee, Jr., 23, has been arrested on charges of malicious wounding and is being held in South Central Regional Jail, said Assistant Chief Robert Houck of the South Charleston Police Department.
The arrest stems from a domestic dispute between Lee and his girlfriend at a home on F Street, he said.
A Kanawha Metro 911 dispatcher received a call at 9:30 p.m. Sunday from a caller who said his mother's boyfriend had stabbed his 22-year-old brother in the face.
When paramedics arrived on the scene they found the man with four stab wounds to the back and one to the abdomen as well as a laceration on his face. Thomas Brown, 21, was taken to Charleston Area Medical Center's General Hospital where he was in the intensive care unit on Monday morning in fair condition.
Lee's girlfriend and mother of the victim suffered a cut to the head but refused treatment, Houck said. Her name was not released.Lee's bond is set at $10,000, according to the jail website.
