Price then jumped out of the car and approached her on the sidewalk. She told officers he grabbed her arm, and told her, "If you don't get in the car, I will hurt you," according to a complaint filed in Kanawha County Magistrate Court.
Fearing for her safety, the girl got into the car, police said.
Price still was working for a local pizzeria and told her his shift was over at 1 a.m. She said he told her she would ride with him until his shift was over and said, "It's okay. I'm only 21," the complaint said.
After his shift, he told her they were going to "Granny's" house, but they drove north on Interstate 79 to his home. She said he went there to give his children medicine and left her alone in the car.
Price returned five minutes later and drove her to the Knights Inn motel in Kanawha City, where he sexually assaulted her, according to the complaint.
She was able to get to the front desk and call her father the morning after the assault. Police said Price fled the scene shortly after the victim's father arrived.
The girl's father did not file a police report the night before, when she failed to come home, because he believed she was at a friend's house. A police report was filed immediately following the teen's call from the motel.
Price is being held at South Central Regional Jail without bond. A preliminary hearing was set for 1:30 p.m. April 24.
