Charleston pill dealer pleads to oxycodone charge
CHARLESTON, W.Va. -- A Charleston pill dealer has pleaded guilty to oxycodone distribution.
U.S. Attorney Booth Goodwin says 27-year-old Eric Simmons entered the plea Monday in federal court in Charleston.
Goodwin says police seized $35,000 in cash, rifles, handguns and 872 oxycodone pills during an October 2012 search of Simmons' residence. Goodwin says the money had been collected from illegal prescription pill transactions.
Simmons faces up to 20 years in prison. Sentencing is set for Aug. 5 before U.S. District Judge Thomas Johnston.
