Clendenin man arrested on sex abuse charges
A Clendenin man has been arrested on two counts of sexual abuse by a parent, custodian, guardian or person in a position of trust.
Rickey Allen Bright Jr., 37, was arrested by Detective M.P. Knapp of the Kanawha County Sheriff's Department on Thursday.
Cpl. Brian Humphreys said the charges against Bright stemmed from reports of abuse of one of his male and one of his female family members. Child Protective Services was first notified of the allegations, which led to a criminal investigation.
The charges against Bright are felonies and carry possible penalties of not less than 10, nor more than 20 years imprisonment.
Bright was arraigned by Magistrate Joe Shelton, who set a bond of $50,000 cash.
