A Charleston man accused of stabbing another man during a fight on the city's West Side was arrested.
James William Martin, 56, of Second Avenue was arrested late Tuesday after an altercation with Jamie Morris.
Martin and Morris were involved in an argument in the 900 block of First Avenue.
The argument escalated Morris was stabbed on the right side of his torso with a pocketknife, Charleston Cpl. D. Nikocevic wrote in a criminal complaint filed in Kanawha Magistrate Court. Morris had a six-inch long laceration on his side from the incident.
Martin was taken into custody and charged with felony malicious wounding. He is being held at South Central Regional Jail on $25,000 bond.
