Two people were injured in an accident involving a truck and a motorcycle in South Charleston on Wednesday morning, a Kanawha County dispatcher said.
The accident occurred about 9:30 a.m. in the eastbound lane of Interstate 64 near the Montrose exit, she said. Traffic was backed up until about noon.
Robert Houck, assistant chief of the South Charleston Police Department, said the motorcycle ran into the back of the truck. A man and a woman on the motorcycle were injured and transported to an area hospital.
He said authorities are not releasing their names until the extent of injuries is known. The woman's injuries appeared most severe, he said.
