CHARLESTON, W.Va. - Charleston police have arrested a suspect in the April theft of a debit card from a vehicle.
The card was used throughout Kanawha County.
Jason Scott Morris, 34, was arrested Wednesday at the 7-Eleven at 1630 Washington St. E. after police received a tip. Detectives from the Criminal Investigation Division and Special Enforcement Unit conducted surveillance that led to the arrest.
During the arrest, Morris was found to be in the possession of methamphetamine and syringes and also had evidence on his person that connected him to the breaking and entering on April 13.
A woman with Morris, Misti Rival, 31, of Charleston, was arrested for possession of syringes. She was issued a summons and released at the scene.Morris was charged with fraud in relation to an access device, and additional charges are pending. He is lodged in South Central Regional Jail with bond set at $25,000.
